Steve Helseth practices in estate planning, probate, and business law. Steve can advise you as an individual or as a business owner and help you accomplish your goals.

What separates Steve from other attorneys is his passion for providing individualized service. Steve will take the time to listen to you and understand your goals before providing advice and guidance to help you accomplish your goals. Steve is dedicated to helping you understand the meaning and purpose of the legal documents.

Steve helps our estate planning clients with wills, trusts, health care directives, powers of attorney, charitable gifting, real estate transfers, and finding ways to protect the family cabin or business. In order to make any decision it is important for you to understand the options and likely outcomes. Steve’s goal is always to help make this easier for you.

Not every estate must go through probate, but Steve also practices in probate court, so he can help you through the probate process and advise you how to keep assets out of probate. When probate is needed, Steve helps families through all steps of the probate process. Probate can be a difficult time for families but Steve’s compassion and professionalism help to ease the process.

When working with business owners, Steve enjoys learning about the passion behind the business and finding creative ways to achieve the business owner’s goals. Steve helps our clients stay focused on the passion and growth of their businesses, while he handles the legal complexities involved. From the formation of a company to the sale or transfer of a long-running business, Steve helps with all phases of a business. In addition, Steve helps business owners with on-going issues, such as employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, customer contracts, buy-sell agreements, non-competes, and operating agreements.

When Steve is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, friends, and family. Steve enjoys staying active by playing tennis, golf, and basketball. Steve is also involved with several charities in the community.
